Dishnetwork programming offer scam ?

I was contacted by an agent introduced him self as calling from dishnetwork to offer me programming package. I didn't accept the offer; I told him I am already having programming with dishnetwork.

He insisted that he can even save me more with my current programming. He asked me to provide my dishnetwork account number to be able to lookup my account. I gave it to him, he then asked me to call me back in 5 minutes to tell me what exactly how much saving I will get compared to my current account. Five minutes later, he called me back, he has all my programming info already, he reiterated his offer by which I'll get free DVR, free HD programming for 6 months, free installations and with the same programming package I already have, I'll be saving five dollars of my monthly bill.

I accepted the offer, sounds good so far! He told me the only way to get the offer is to set it up a new account, when I hesitated since I don't know the consequences on my existing programming or if there will be any interruption, he mentioned that nothing to worry and everything will go smooth.

I said OK, then he asked for a credit card info, I questioned him on that, he said for setting up an account, they will typically put one ($1) on hold and will returned back within 1 business day. Since I remember that this was the procedure when I first setup my account, then I gave it to him.

After he processed the transaction, he asked for the account setup information, I started giving him name, address, ..etc. He told me that to be able to get that offer; I should provide him with another name, since this offer is not valid for existing dishnetwork customers! WHATTTTT!

I told him that you already know that I am a dishnetwork customer, you contacted me from that prospective, you managed to pull my existing programming, and then you know that I am a customer, what a waste of time. He asked me to provide a friend's name or any other person's name and SSN, etc. I decided to finish the call and told him that I'm not interested. He told me to wait; he'll try get around this. I asked how, he quickly said, not to worry, and with a lowered voice I think he said something like he'll punch a name for a friend of him and will switch it later to my name. I said I don't understand what are you saying. He interrupted me by saying congratulations! The application went through; you'll be contacted by dish network within few days for installations. (I wasn't comfortable with that but since I didn't give any more information at that point, waited to see)

Couple of days later, I noticed a transaction made from my bank account by the amount of $9.98 by "VMC satellite (not dishnetwork)" and hasn't returned back. It's been a week and nobody called. I called that representative on the phone he gave me. Looked like was a cell phone or so, he answered the phone "same person". I was angry and, he asked for name to look my account up. Then he said, there's no way to look me up since I'm already a dishnetwork customer and not on their system, therefore he can't do anything for me. (At that point I remembered the friend's name thing that he whispered). I told him I don't know what you did, but I need my money. He said the best is to wait few days and the transaction should be reversed back automatically.

I called VMC satellite; they don't know a person with that name. I'm confused, a transaction was made by that company, then this person should be affiliated with them some how. He also provided a valid phone number to contact him, if it was a scam, I don't think he'll be providing any true information.

There's more than money that I'm concerned about, it's how my personal information and SSN, which was collected by him are used! Should I call the police to locate that person? dishnetwork, or what is the proper place to complain at since I know at least the phone number of the person (assuming his name is incorrect) or what should I do?Dishnetwork programming offer scam ?
I'd call DishNetwork's main number (it's on their website or your bill) and report this criminal to them.

For future reference, even though the installers are local, all programming and billing comes from Dish Network corporate - NOT THE INSTALLER. The installer can't (legally) do anything about your programming packages.

Reverse Cell Phone Lookup?

I am looking for a reverse phone lookup service that will allow me to get details from a cell phone number. I know at white pages you can lookup land-line numbers, but I need a reverse cell phone lookup. All I need to get is a name and address from a certain cell phone number, I am grateful for any helpReverse Cell Phone Lookup?
You can find the information you are looking for at http://www.reversecellphonelook-ups.com. Using their reverse cell phone lookup tool you can get the name and address from any cell phone or landline number.
Haha... yah I think I know what position you're in, yah i was too

The only way to do this is to pay those guys... yep no way to get around them, nobody has set up a free phone tracker.

Best tracker that will give you the most FREE info is this cite http://www.cellphoneregistry.com/index.p鈥?/a>Reverse Cell Phone Lookup?
Sorry, but its actually illegal to give out cell phone information.

Cell phone companies like AT%26amp;T are trying to crack down on the people who do that.

Wish I could help!Reverse Cell Phone Lookup?
Unfortunately, there is not a free reverse cell phone lookup directory. I had to do a reverse lookup once and used http://Intelius.com/CellPhoneLookup

They charge you $5 for one lookup.
There are no truly free sites as cell phone records are NOT public records. To get the information requires that records searches be performed by a legitimate agency and they DO charge for this. You will find all kinds of sites that claim to be "free" but all you will get for free is the city and state. I have tried my personal cell phone number in many of these sites and they do not give correct info even at that. They usually come back and tell me that it is a landline number, which I know it is not
If you are trying to lookup a listed landline you can use whitepages. If the number is private or is a cell phone number, you will have to use a paid site.

I found a site that's cheap and gives accurate information.

I'll leave a link to the site below.

Problems emailing/failure notices...need help please?

I've been getting several failure notices, and I googled for some reasons and I saw something called blacklisting. I'm not entirely sure why my IP address would be blacklisted. The blacklist lookup site said that this in red: NO REVERSE DNS (PTR) ASSIGNED and to have the administrator to assign it or something.

This is the email I got: It either said this or that such a domain does not exist:

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at yahoo.com.

I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.

This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

%26lt;info@rmrg.com%26gt;:

76.253.152.46 does not like recipient.

Remote host said: 550 %26lt;info@rmrg.com%26gt;, Recipient unknown

Giving up on 76.253.152.46.Problems emailing/failure notices...need help please?
The reverse DNS issue has to be fixed by the network administrator. That means that whoever assigned the host name for this IP address didn't coordinate with the owner of the IP address block. If it's your IP address, did you set up reverse DNS for it? That's one of the responsibilities of people who 'own' IP addresses.

As for the email you got, it means exactly what it said. The mail server the email went to has no idea who or what "info@rmrg.com" is. Most likely, it's because there is no such email address. Check with whoever told you that you should email someone at that address.
Most commonly you must ask your ISP to create a PTR record, or delegate it to you. Most mail servers will not accept email from servers without PTR.

You can use Multi Blacklist check here http://www.magic-net.nl/black-list-check鈥?/a>

And check your PTR at this page http://www.magic-net.nl/dns-and-ip-tools鈥?/a>

This is the good practice to make your PTR record same as A record for your mail server record.

1.2.3.4 --- PTR Record ---%26gt; hostname.example.com

hostname.example.com --- A Record ---%26gt; 1.2.3.4Problems emailing/failure notices...need help please?
SOME of your failure notices are spam!!! and should be ignored! So please be careful about, and DO NOT click on any address given in a failure notice under any circumstance! PLEASE!

Some, if they are real, may indicate that you had a leedle tiny typo in the address to which you sent an email...

Some, if you sent an email with the correct address, may indicate:

(1) the person to whom you sent it, doesn't know you as a sender, and treated your email as spam

(2) the person to whom you sent it, had a busy receiving computer, and the busy receiving computer rejected the email out of being too busy or swamped with emails

You could just try again, if you're absolutely positive the address was right.

But again, absolutely, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES, reply to, or click on, an address in an email sent from a "remote host"!!!Problems emailing/failure notices...need help please?
either you typed it in wrong or you have been blacklisted by the recipient.

when typing, watch those upper and lower case letters.

Domain search by contact/personal name?

Hi, :)

I think I already asked this a while back but I wanted some other answers too, from more people. :D

There are of course these WHOIS databases, where you can look up a domain owner's personal information, etc...

Is it possible, anywhere on the web, to do it in reverse, and look up a domain name by the contact address?

It would be like a lookup to see what domains a certain person owns, and their contact addresses, etc.

Is this kind of thing in existence? Anywhere at all on the web? Can you be absolutely certain?

If there is somewhere, could you please tell me where it is?

This isn't for me to stalk someone, it's me being stalked by someone else and i'm worried they could find me via my domains.

Thanks :o)Domain search by contact/personal name?
The only site I know which can possibly do something close to that is aboutus.org. I just tried that a while ago.

Do MSN email addresses end in: hotmail. com or msn.com?

  • Anyone know 866-262-9537 Natelli Law Office?

They call me about three times a week and leave a message on my answering machine as I do screen my calls. Their automated message says a law office but didn't give me a name in their automated message or who it was addressed to. I tried to do a reverse phone number lookup in other sites but turn up empty as 866 numbers can be anonymous. I called their 866 number on payphones numerous times(let them pay for charges for payphones and at late night, it is their voice mail)and they says Natelli Law Office (pronounced Nat Tell Lee). Seems they have 1 man and 3 women answering the 866 number but I never say anything and hang up.

Does anyone here know who they are? Are they scammers?Anyone know 866-262-9537 Natelli Law Office?
A check of the Lexis-Nexis directory reveals that there is no such law firm or individual attorney with the name of Natelli in the U.S.

I would like to know if there is a tried and true way to look up the owner of a cell phone number.?

I would love to hear from people who have tried intellius or 'reversephonedetective' dot come to get access to the information telling them who owns a particular cell phone number. I really wanted to use a site like this but they all say the same thing about the fact that the report 'may' give you owners name, address etc. So, even though they list the 'owners name' as one of the things that you get when you pay your fee of $14.95 it may ony give you things that you don't need like what cell company the person is with (what good would that do). Is there any one of those reverse cell phone lookup companies that typically gives owners names because that is all I really want is the owner's name.I would like to know if there is a tried and true way to look up the owner of a cell phone number.?
its hard to come by unless your willing to pay big money

    Internet Stalker Help?

Hey....over the past few months...I met this girl from ""England"" who claims that shes from england...etc. And, just the other night, her friend from ""Cincinatti" wanted to talk to me, so I decided to be nice, and talk to her. And I asked her to send me a photo of her, from her cell phone (because, my english friend has done that before)

and, THEIR PHONE NUMBERS WERE THE SAME!

also, their IP Addresses are the same., from Cincinatti, Ohio.

So, I am afraid that I've encountered an internet stalker (i'm 14, btw)

so....anybody, PLEASE help me .....I need you to find the name and address of the phone number "513-658-1125" (if you work for a reverse cell phone lookup company...or something, that'd be great)

    Thank you so much

    any information would be appreciated

(also, the IP address is 69.147.103.179)Internet Stalker Help?
The person is definitely from Cincinnati. Hamilton County. That's the best I can get. Oh, and they are using a Cingular Wireless phone. Everything else costs like $40 (I'm 14 too, and broke). That's the best I can do. Hope it helped. Stalkers are no fun. Especially when they're creepy.

    Internet Stalker Help?
Have you tried just blocking her from your webpage? That would be the safest option otherwise i cant help you but if they have the same number and IP adress they are proberly the same person so the best thing you could do is block them.

From using a reverse cell phone looup you will be able to get the callers name and address.

    Hi

Sex offender texting my girlfriend..? help?

Im not stupid and i know what to do..

This guy text my girlfriend with this following message:

"hey.. do you wanta have some phone sex?"

Im 15 and she is 14 years old... im very protective of her. she told me as soon as it happened and when i go to call this low life to warn him he sends her another text that says "i see you."

i call him and he claims that his little brother did this and that he is sorry. i looked up his information using intelius.com reverse phone lookup and called back after he text her again saying he see's her.

In the next call i make to him i tell him where he lives which i found out is Presque Isle, ME.

I told him his name and address and warned to call the cops if this kept going on...

soon later he calls me and says that the phone is in his name and etc and that he is sorry and he kicked his brother out and cleared the number from the phone.. so i ask out of curiously how the number was found in the first place. (i live in Virginia) He said someone gave it to them.. "king james?" he said or something like that...

I just need a little advice where to go from here... thanks so much for your answers.Sex offender texting my girlfriend..? help?
well you both are minors, don't delete the text and show your parents, so they can deal with it.

plus also you could be saving someones life besides your girlfriend..

in your first line you said you know what to do.

and if you keep talking to the guy it just eggs him on and will take it to the next step of actually calling her home or following her to school.

this you need to take to the cops
hmmm, this is an interesting case.

Well, I recommend you forgive and forget.

What you don't want to do is be wrong. So, let this all go, but, if he calls her again or contacts her in any way once more...

Call the police, don't take matters into your own hands, cuz even though you may be right we all make mistakes.

Good luck man. And its admirable how you are will to defend your girl so well. Few people do that.Sex offender texting my girlfriend..? help?
Keep the messages in the phone, do not delete them. Call the police and report what happened. It doesn't matter that he deleted them. The phone company will retain records of everything.

Presque Isle, ME is a very small town (I've been there before). The local cops there should have no problem finding this creep.Sex offender texting my girlfriend..? help?
Just call the police. Neither one of you are able to fully take care of this matter on your own. And sex offenders lie. So he is probably still watching her. 60 seconds alone and he can grab her and no one will ever see her again.

    Also talk to her parents.
    he was just prank calling/texting.

If he does it again call the cops, maybe it really was his little brother.

If he only did it once, and he said he'll stop and he said hes sorry, just drop it, its not a big deal.
If someone is sending out sexual messages, you need to contact the police and report this, you need to tell your parents that this is going on, too many weird people in this world, be safe
If you still have the message and your work, call the cops.
call the cops dude and ask your girlfriend how he got her number.
Obviously, no one assumes you are stupid. You seem very aware of a potential problem and that is good for anyone no matter what the age. The thing I see that could be corrected ASAP is to stop communication with this person. You write down and date the info you have and then block the number. A prank caller, obscene or not, is going to move on if they don't get a response of any kind. If it is more than that, the caller will insert themselves into your life again. That is when you should turn over the info to someone who can talk to law enforcement and let them handle it. You have done a good job collecting info about the caller. Just hang on to that, stop communication, and wait. Don't dwell on it however, it is probably an idiot with a phone.
Is he an actual registered sex offender? If so, contact the police department in his location immediately as he may be violating parole/prob. He's committing a crime either way, but its easy to defend.

If not, let your and her parents know. If the behavior stops, at this point I would probably let it drop. If it continues, contact your local police department, they will usually have a quick word with their counterparts where the caller is, that usually resolves the issue.

One odd note, intellius, etc does not usually reverse lookup cell phones, and it would have to be a mobile to SMSText. Make sure you have the right data.
I hope you saved all the text message and received phone calls. If you have, you need to make a police report ASAP! Show them the phone number and texts with the information you found. Then let them handle it from there. This is the legal way to handle it. If you don't have any of the information, see if you get any records from the cell phone company. Your girlfriend is lucky to have you protect her, just do everything legally and it will all work out in your favor. Good Luck.

How to setup a relay with Exchange 2003?

I have exchange server 2003 setup at present which is fine, however I wish to integrate several users external mail accounts (Gmail etc.) into exchange. I already have a POP3 connector which connects to the external server and retrieves the mail on a predefined interval and that works fine, however I wish to have it so that when the users send E-Mail from their account and it is using the external E-Mail address that instead of sending the E-Mail direct to the end user from the exchange server, it relays through the external providers SMTP host so as to avoid problems with recieving servers running a reverse DNS lookup and then rejecting the E-Mails or flagging them as spam. How to setup a relay with Exchange 2003?
Try Barracuda's mail relay server from Barracuda Networks.

  • Received Pkg via USPS I didn't order?

I received a certified pkg in the mail that I signed for. The address on the box was 100 percent correct to be me. There was no name on the certified slip as to who it was from, nothing on the outside or inside to say who it is from. It had valuables inside and I figured it was from a relatives estate that knew I collected these items. Several days later my wife received a phone call and all they said was that they wanted the box back. I did a reverse phone lookup and found the website and the phone nbr and email were on the site so I sent them a letter stating that I had the pkg and have opened it. I'm not sure how they got my address but it's obvious a mistake on their part and will probably have to send it back after they prove what was in the box and pay my expenses and time. We are in our 70'ies and this has been very upsetting to both of us.Received Pkg via USPS I didn't order?
Here's what I perceive to be your question. What is YOUR responsibility in returning the items, or are you even required to return it?

Technically, it was delivered to you. There was no fraud or intent on your part. So, really, you don't have to do anything. On the other hand, if there is enough value, they could sue for its return as you know it wasn't meant for you. And someone else has been deprived of that value. So, regardless of value, do the right thing and return it.

But, how much effort on your part? None. Let THEM send a box to repackage it, including a pre-printed mailing label, and paid for by THEIR account. Also, pickup of the package by THEIR account. It's their error, and THEIR responsibility to go through the work of returning it. Not yours.

If they are unwilling to do that, then it's not important enough to them, and your obligation is done.Received Pkg via USPS I didn't order?
If you can, call the website that it was sent from and ask them what happened! Ask them how they got your name and/or your postal address! Also, say you will return it at there expense. Ask them to mail you a box and ask them to have USPS,Fed Ex to pick it up. You shouldn't even have to drive anywhere. Return it at their expense.Received Pkg via USPS I didn't order?
I am in my 60麓s and I do not see a single question in your explanation, so I am not blaming age for this. The header of receiving a package is not really a question, it just ends with a question mark. Is there a question you would like to ask? If so I would suggest you edit your entry and ask the question.

    About blackmailing...?

I have a kind of crazy situation and I don't know what to do. I met this guy in new orleans and we hung out everyday I was there. My last night there we slept together but before that I left my 3500 dollar diamond studs in his bathroom. When I noticed I left them there I immediatly called him from the airport and told him. he told me he has them and will send them a.s.a.p.. Two days later he was saying the same thing. Now 5 days later he is no longer returning my calls (i feel so stupid). I really didn't expect to see him anyway but I'm pissed off and i feel betrayed. I have looked up his address and info by doing a reverse cell phone lookup. because he is a business man I was thinking of threating to tell police he slept with a minor (although i'm 21 but he doesn;t know that). I really want to scare him into sending me earrings. But how?? I know this sounds crazy and is my fault, please don't judge me.About blackmailing...?
Do you even know his last name? If the reverse phone lookup works, and you know his full name, definitely go to the police but dont falsify your case. Just be honest. Say you met a stranger, you spent time with him and he stole your earrings. Tell them that they are extremely pricey, and you would like to press charges for theft if he does not give them back. See what they say.. if they say you can actually do that, then you tell him that.

Otherwise, you may have to cut your losses... Def dont say he slept with a minor.. maybe you can find out where he works and file a complaint?

    be careful next time!!!About blackmailing...?
well, if you tell police that he slept with a minor, and you're not a minor, then you'll be in seriously trouble. If you can, go back down there and get them. Call the local police down there or a lawyer and ask what you can do to get them back. File a lawsuit if you have to to get possession back or compensation.About blackmailing...?
I know you know this but I am going to say it anyway. You shouldn't sleep with anyone that you aren't going to make a commitment to first hand. You could honestly report him to the police that you tried to work with him to get your earings back but he isn't returning them. Or I do like your idea but that would get him in false trouble and lying isn't right and can kick you in the butt in the end. Try talking to the authorities and see what they can say about it.

My friend was being stalked by a guy at school, she changed her number, and we are just wondering...if her number has been changed by at%26amp;t, can he do a reverse phone lookup on her old number and get her information? Meaning can he look it up and find her address, etc. THIS IS NOT HOW TO DO IT. I'M ASKING CAN IT BE DONE IF THE NUMBER IS NO LONGER VALID?At%26amp;t cell phone information?
There's no way you can get information on a cell phone number for free. If it's a listed land line, you can get it for free.

The best thing to do is use a reverse lookup directory. I found a site that works. And the information they give is accurate. It's a paid site, though.

I'll leave a link to the site below.

Help me find the guy who stole my purse!!!?

Alright, to make a VERY long story short...my purse got stolen about a week ago, and even though I was very careful to cancel all my accounts before the thief had time to really screw me over, he did have access to some checks of mine from an account I rarely use. Well, homeboy decided it would be a good idea to pay his T-Mobile bill with one of my checks. Luckily my bank is really cool and I'm not going to be responsible for anything he wrote, but the problem is, he's got my social security card which makes me supernervous (I've already notified the credit agencies). But I would really like to find this S.O.B. Sooooo....I've done some research and the Fair Credit Reporting Act gives me the right to demand information about the account my check was attempted to be posted to. So, I call up T-Mobile and they gave me the name of the account and the number. Unfortunately no address because it's a prepaid phone and with those types of plans, you don't have to have an address. To make payments, you must have a billing address, but the theif supplied MY billing address to T-Mobile. (He has my drivers license too) So I have just a name and number. I've tried to do a white pages lookup of the name, reverse phone lookup and criminal record search but turned up nothing. However, when you call the cell phone number, someone answers. I hung up because I had no idea what to say. I don't want to scare the theif away because I plan on reporting my findings to the police, but without an address they refuse to help me. I'm thinking about calling the number and pretend to be someone else, like from a company or something, and see if they will "verify" their address for me so I can find them! So my question is, what should I make up to say? I'm not normally a very sneaky person but I really want to find the person who is making my life miserable!Help me find the guy who stole my purse!!!?
The purse is in a dumpster, along with the unusable contents.
Turn whatever you have over to the police and stop playing detective. As long as your bank and credit cards reverse any of the fraudulent charges, you no longer the victim. The bank and credit card company will back charge the merchants. It will them be the merchants problem to pursue the thief. You will probably never find out who actually stole your purse.

If you have not already done so, freeze your credit files at all three credit bureaus. That way no one can open a new account in your name.Help me find the guy who stole my purse!!!?
Sorry this happened. Don't try to solve it yourself. Say you do trick the guy and get him to meet you somewhere. Then what?

Instead, call the police and report it. The cell phone companies can use their cell towers to track the phone by the signal it sends out and will try to catch the guy. Don't just focus on the purse - focus on the bank fraud.

In the meantime, focus on restoring your personal indentity security. Ask the SS Administration to put a fraud alert on your SS# and ask them to issue you a new number. Get a fraud alert put on your credit reports. Cancel all accounts, cards, etc.

Good luck.Help me find the guy who stole my purse!!!?
First calm down. Let the bank handle it. They will go after him. They have more contacts then you have. Just thank God he didn't try to kill you for it.

Canceling the credit was smart. Now put it on fraud alert through Trans Union Fraud Dept. Their toll free # 1-800-680-7289. They will notify the other 2 bureaus and must be renewed every 90 days to keep it active. What will happen then if he tries to use or open a new account, they will notify you and ask if you applied for a new card. You should also run your free credit reports from annualcreditreport.com or call them toll free @ 1-877-322-8228 for all 3 free reports. If there is something you're not aware of on the report, dispute it immediately.

You need to push the police. Go further up the chain if you have to. You have a theif, and identity fraud on the other end of a phone. It's on them to go get the guy.

State police, county atty as well.Help me find the guy who stole my purse!?
Oh this is going to be so much fun! I like the way you sound by the way and I wish I could do this with you and find this guy. No matter what, just remember to have a good time. Anyway, you have a couple of options. You could facebook him around your area and then friend him. Maybe his address is on his facebook account. Or, you could send him a text message asking him if he's "still dealing" or something and that you really need over 3 grams (look at the laws in your state to see how much he'll get using NORML) or whatever'll keep him in jail for long. But, tell the Police about it, but don't show up yourself and then change your cellphone number. Or you could call him from a payphone and ask him if he's Mr. _____ _____ and then ask him for more information.

What's his name, btw? I could probably find more about this guy.

call him and say "hello Mr. _____ this is T-mobile and we are calling about a payment you made long ago. To verify your payments we need (ask him more details).

but anyhoo, if you have as much information as a first and last name and a phone number, the police really should be able to help you!! give the police the number, and if they manage to get a conversation with him for at least 10 seconds, they should be able to trace the phone call.Help me find the guy who stole my purse!?
You can get this info out of him if you're careful and you plan what you're going to say. You need to offer him something, for instance, say he has won free cellphone credit or shopping vouchers or something like that. Put on your best telephone voice and practice your pitch. Resist the urge to yell at him, I know he's a scumbag but if he's stealing purses, he's obviously not that smart. He probably doesn't have a job, so call him at around 10 in the morning, he'll be awake but in bed or still asleep, you can catch him off guard. If you've got the nerve, tell him you're from the welfare department and you need to send him a cheque for some money that due to him, I bet you'll get his address in a couple of minutes! Good luck, be careful and I hope you get a result.

Is there a certain of level of creepy that can be called illegal (please help, I'm really scared)?

Alright, so I have a bit of a problem. I met a guy at the beach. He was nice, newly single, and seemingly polite. I really wasn't looking for a new relationship and I told him this but he said he was willing to be friends so I gave him my number, happily thinking that I had made a new friend. I went to bed that night and woke up the next morning with 19 missed calls and 18 voice-mails (all of which he called me "sweetie" and mentioned that he "loved me"). Sufficiently creeped out, I decided to kinda keep my space from him and not really return his calls and the one time I did answer one of his calls he immediately informed me that he "had a hotass temper" as if it were a threat.

That was about a week and a half ago. He still calls me at least 5 times every day, though I don't pick-up, and leaves voice-mails saying that he loves me and just today I get a voice-mail message in which he says that in a week he plans to visit me. He didn't really say it in a threatening way, but just as if he were politely informing me but after about two weeks of these creepy phone calls, I'm really scared by even the idea of him showing up at my home.

So now I'm concerned for my own safety, not to mention the safety of my family. I'm just wondering if it is actually possible for the guy to locate me with nothing more than my cellphone number (he doesn't even know my real first name since I introduced myself with my nickname)? I know that some sites advertise that they can, but is it actually possible? I just tried that PhoneDetective site (a reverse cellphone lookup site) and it is showing up what might be my old address (it says it wont give the address unless I pay money but it's showing up as my old town and county but that could just be because of my area code). So now I'm also scared for the people that now live there, but I'm still rather scared for me. Can the police actually get involved with this, because I don't think he's actually done anything illegal yet unless they've finally made being super creepy illegal?

Also any suggestions on how to deal with this?

Can the police actually get involved?

Will changing my number solve this and keep him from being able to find me?

Please, any advice would be really appreciated. Is there a certain of level of creepy that can be called illegal (please help, I'm really scared)?
The first thing you should do is not lead this guy on and tell him once and for all that he is creepy as hell and you want him to stop calling you and to leave you alone. Next thing to do would be to go to the police and get their advice, save all of the messages and call logs to show them. I'm not so sure a restraining order is a good idea unless he shows up at your house, because if you put a restraining order on him then by law he has to know your address so he knows where to avoid.

Good luck. My niece is going through the same thing with some freak she met online only he tried to force himself on her when she met him. So whatever you do not meet this guy in person for anything.
Check with the police in your area.

If you tell him to stop calling and he doesn't, that is "phone harassment" in my state and you can have him arrested. Is there a certain of level of creepy that can be called illegal (please help, I'm really scared)?
Do tell the police. Take your post.

You have learned a valuable lesson i hope. The world is full of strange, possibly dangerous people - walking around and on the net. Don't give out info., take rides etc.

I hope you have told your parents. Is there a certain of level of creepy that can be called illegal (please help, I'm really scared)?
i would change the # or block his.

this guy sounds like a murderer in the making

i would address this to the police because this is considered harassment so you might be able to place a restraining order on him.
Notify the police right away. You are being Stalked and you need to take this seriously.

Change your number right away, change your e-mail address right away.

Here is a web site that will give you some valuable information about stalking and what you can do about.

    http://www.womenshealth.gov/violence/typ鈥?/a>
Changing your phone number and never seeing him again is a good idea or another good idea is calling the police they could take him to jail for a day(maybe)

    hope this helped
First: Immediately contact your local police department to report the phone harassment. If he persists, he can be arrested.

Second: Change your phone number or contact your provider to have his number permanently blocked. Your cell phone company, by law, cannot provide anyone, except law enforcement, with your account information. And, even then, there has to be certain criteria for law enforcement to obtain your information.

Third: Never give your cell phone out to someone who you have talked to for 15 minutes. That is about the most crazy thing you could have done. You can never learn enough about someone in 15 minutes to be secure in knowing who they really are.
Call your phone provider, ask them to block the number. No, they can't look up your exact location without your consent. This website is a scam, they tell you the location based on the area code, and then you pay and get nothing more.

Stolen Phone have some info, What can the police do?

My phone was stolen out of my purse along with some money.

I'm a minor i tried to file a report, but i can't so i'm having my parents do it for me

I told Sprint it was stolen, and it's now flagged

I have a palm pre with sprint. And we have family locator on the phone. It traced my phone (The theif left it on) to youngstown. It gave me an address/neighborhood. I used the locator on my brothers phone to see how accurate it was and pin pointed my house exactly.

That night i spent calling my phone it was answered once, no one said anything it was background noise in someones house i assume. I told them to call my brothers phone or my house phone to contact me. Then someone called my house phone ad left a message "stop calling"

My home phone gave me the number of who called.

The next morning i disabled the phone so they couldn't use it. And activated my old phone onto the number. I checked the call log on my phone online. It made one outgoing call after it was stolen to a number in youngstown. The SAME city my gps said it was in. I did a reverse phone lookup on the number and it gave me an address in youngstown

I called the number just to see if it worked It did a young women picked up. Few hours later the young women texted me using her phone. I told her my stolen phone had made a call to her number.

She got angry cussed my out for accusing her so on and so on.

so I have a gps location, 2 phone numbers, an address, I saw some suspicious kids near me so if i saw her again i could recognize her, what could the police do for me?Stolen Phone have some info, What can the police do?

Small claims court jurisdiction, chance of recovery and possible police involvement?

I recently purchased a LCD monitor from someone on Craigslist in the Philadelphia area. It was advertised (sparesly) on the ad as a 24" monitor. After sending some emails, I also confirmed that it was 1920x1200 resolution which would be full HD. We agreed to meet up half way to complete the transaction. The monitor looked fine and I gave him the agreed upon amount. However, when I returned home, I discovered that the resolution was less than stated and when I took out a tape measure and checked, it was only 22". Needless to say, I feel defrauded (the seller falsely presented the product). I'm not sure where I would go about filing a claim in a small claims court. Where I live? The place where the cash and product switched hands? Where he lives? I feel I have a good chance of winning if I go to court but I have heard of 'buyer beware' clauses in state laws. However, this seems like outright fraud as he misrepresented the product completely and I did not know until it was hooked up to my computer. I will also have to do a reverse cell phone lookup to get his address to serve him with the court date - can I file a police report so this is done by the local police department? I don't trust those online places that claim to do reverse cell phone lookups and then charge you money to view the results.Small claims court jurisdiction, chance of recovery and possible police involvement?
    The police can't help you.

You can file small claims in the state you live, the person you bought the computer with did business in your state.

her myspace is private (but i can hack into her account) n i have her phone number so i can easily do a reverse phone lookup and get her full name/address/annual income/ even her ss# lol. i'm just not sure if i should do it. i do want to see her cause ofcourse part of me wonders what he saw in her. i know she doesnt care about him and i know i look better than her (trust me, al three of us know it) which makes me wonder even more why he did it. suposedly they only kissed but in his myspace he messaged her saying he loved her. i'm not looking for advice as to whether i should stay with him. i've already made up my mind on that matter. i'm just going nutz now though, he really hurt me and she doesnt even care about him. every day i try to fight the urge to skin her alive n the web gives you alot of power, i know curiosity killed the cat but i still want to know everything about her from her hight to what preschool she went to. knowledge s power n i guess that's what i'm after. should i?Should i look up the girl my bf cheated on me with?
NO!!! no good would ever come out of it and it probably still won't answer any more of your questions... It will more than likely just create more questions and confusion for you and for what... It will not change the fact the he cheated on you.....

I can tell you why he did it... Your answer is because he is a jerk and he is not loyal, faithful, or committed and so the only thing that you should do for your own happiness is to distance yourself way from them both as far as possible and find yourself a real man that will treat you with respect and cherish you and love you the way that you deserve...Should i look up the girl my bf cheated on me with?
i knw where ur at... im wondering the same thing for myself.... i decided to do it, but her profile is private also.... sux but i think u should. ease ur mind

  • NEED HELP, How can I find out Free, a persons name if I have there Cell phone number only??

I found a number on my phone bill that keeps coming up, but when I try to call it, it is always busy!! I have tried the reverse lookup, on yellowbook and other sites, but that only says that the number is in the data base, and wants me to pay to get the name and or address of the person the phone actually belongs to... anybody that would have an idea how to go about this without have to pay a look up service??? PLease Help! ThanksNEED HELP, How can I find out Free, a persons name if I have there Cell phone number only??
if you tried yellowbook, then call your cell company. Say it is not listed in yellowbook and you would like to know who it is or have it blocked (if you can) If it is always busy when you call, it is likely a computer from a telemarketer. And my advice, don't pay for the yellowbook service. It tells you nothing more than where the phone was bought...
You probably have to pay. My advie just keep calling the number until you get someone.NEED HELP, How can I find out Free, a persons name if I have there Cell phone number only??
I'm sorry but you're going to have to pay for the owner name I'm afraid. Since this info isn't publicly available and companies such as http://www.reversecellphonelistings.com have to collect all of the owner's names seperately, the whole market is dictated by people paying for the owner details.NEED HELP, How can I find out Free, a persons name if I have there Cell phone number only??
Use a friends phone to call the number. This way the caller doesn't know it's you and answers.

What can I do about collection calls for accounts that aren't mine?

Lately, I have been receiving numerous phone calls to my cell phone on a daily basis from (800) 240-1195. Doing a reverse lookup, I discovered that the number belongs to CBCS, a nation-wide collection agency. Recently, they have started leaving generic voicemails stating that they鈥檙e trying to collect a debt and to give them a call. They don鈥檛 mention my name or what it鈥檚 for. I pulled my three-bureau FICO credit reports last week for an unrelated matter and all of them came out excellent with no notes or comments regarding collections. I鈥檓 in the middle of a dispute with another collection agency for a past-due landline phone bill that never belonged to me at an address I have never lived at. That situation is about to be settled since I provided the proof they need to show it鈥檚 not mine. However, I don鈥檛 want to go through that same process for whoever is calling me now from CBCS. Should I just ignore the calls or actually answer them to find out what the heck is going on?What can I do about collection calls for accounts that aren't mine?
Talk with them and get it straightened out. Otherwise they will continue to call you, that's what they get paid for.

you are a victim of identity theft

here are some websites to help you.

(you might want to get a copy of your credit report to see if anything else has been done in your name)

    http://www.fightidentitytheft.com/identi…

    http://www.occ.treas.gov/idtheft.pdf

    http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/microsites/id…

Check out these sites-they tell you just what to do and how to do it--good luck to you!
DO NOT PAY THE BILL! Chances are you will not get reimbursed or it will be a long time before you are. This is fraud. If someone was able to do this to you, chances are they can get a credit card in you name just a s easy. You need to report it to the right people.

Check out this site- good luck.

http://www.consumer.gov/idtheft/con_step…Someone had a utility bill in my name and the light company told me they cant do anything about it?
This happened to a friend of mine with her cable bill.

They wanted her to pay for it.

She had to go to the police and prove that this is fraud. Then with that you are able to put the account like "on hold" where you do not have to pay it anymore (but you need the police proof of fraud).Someone had a utility bill in my name and the light company told me they cant do anything about it?
Ask them to verify the information used on the application: full name, dob, ssn, etc. If it is the same as yours, then it's identity theft.
go to ur local bank and police officers and see what they can do....and id cut ur service with whomever and start somewhere else...also talk to your credit card company.
well you should have the address to the other house, i'd go and check it out. i'd contact the company and demand it be canceled and to have a note put on it saying it is not to be opened in your name again!

i would also see if you can file some sort of small claims case. that may be the only way to recover your money if the utility company is saying they can't do anything.

    best wishes
Call and ask for a supervisor. Explain to them that you never have lived at that address, nor owned the property there. They have your bill confused with another party and you want this cleared up. If you can't get a supervisor to resolve this, then call the main number for the utility and ask for a Vice President in charge of customer service. Explain your problem.

The people at the bottom who answer the phone really have little authority outside of specific guidelines. Going to the supervisor usually solves the problem, but when all else fails, you hassle an executive and they wantcha out of their hair as fast as possible.
First this is a case of identity theft and you need to file a complaint with the police department. Since the value is so high that makes it a felony so they should want to prosecute this case. The police will want to find out these people and arrest them. Make sure you give them copies of the paperwork (keep originals in case if something gets lost).

Second call the Attorney General’s office and ask them what you need to do to prosecute this case. It is identity theft and they are the ones who are supposed to help you in this case. Their first question will probably be “Have you filed a complaint with the police department yet?”

Their office varies with each state; but you can start with this list of links:

    http://www.creditinfocenter.com/repair/s…

You can also start credit repair procedures through this website.

Next read the fine print on the bill and find out the address of the billing company. Many companies contract out their billing to someone else. This is why the power company won’t help you. The billing company has to have the address where the power is going to and that is the address they should be charging. Get on the phone with them and tell them that you are not going to pay the bill, because it is identity theft and if they want to get their money they had better talk to the people at that address. Then tell them that if they call you again about this that it will be harassment and you will file a law suit against them. Give them the police case number and tell them that you have contacted the State’s Attorney General. Furthermore if they report this nonpayment to the credit reporting agencies then you will have even more of a basis to sue them on for defamation of character. Don’t get mad at them about, the more scary person is the one who is calm cool and collected and telling you that they are going to ruin your day. Tell them that you are sorry this happened, but it is not your fault. It is the power company’s fault for not making sure the billing address and the address that has the power connection are the same.

Remember to keep your head and be cool the whole time. You want to give the billing company all the information that they need so they can prosecute the case and get paid. They only want to get paid and don’t want to hassle with anyone. So the threats you make are in a nice calm tone and are what measures you will be FORCED to take if they go after you.

Then make sure the police have arrested the people at the address, call them and stay on the case. After that or if the police don’t arrest the people then have the power cut off at that address. You are supposed to be paying for this so you can control if the power is on or not. Again give them the police case number and the person you contacted at the attorney general’s office so they can follow up. Then tell them that if they ever make another power connection to any address that you are not living at that you will take them to court. Americans love to sue, because often it is the only way to get things done. The mere threat of suing will help push things along. If you do it calm, cool and collected then you will make a better impression on them. Getting angry and losing control only lets them win. The power company won’t help because they don’t control the billing, but if you tell them that you are officially notifying them that the bill will not be paid, that the case is a fraud, and you are not taking responsibility for the power being delivered to that address. Tell them that you have contacted the police and if they do not cut off the power then it will be coming out of their own pockets.

Then call a lawyer and ask them for their help. Here are some numbers for free legal advice:

Sites for Free legal advice in the US:

    http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=na…

    http://www.lawhelp.org/

    http://www.freeadvice.com/all_topics.htm

    http://www.thelaw.com/

    http://www.flac.ie/

    http://www.legalsurvival.com/

You may have to end up paying the lawyer, but it is better to do that then let your credit rating being ruined. It is a crime and as a victim you have to deal with it. YOU are the one who has to settle this because no one else wants to; the simplest thing would be to force you to make the payments. If you file a police complaint and talk with the Attorney General’s office then you have taken the first steps to protecting yourself. Also write the credit reporting agencies and tell them what has happened and give them the police case number so they can check up on this. You probably haven’t been reported to them yet since they bill just came, but you want to be proactive here and make sure that you aren’t harmed. Once again be nice to them, keep records of when you contacted and who, make sure to do it by mail and over the phone so you have a written record and proof that you have made a good faith effort to stop any problems from occurring.

Most credit reporting is not done until AFTER the company has made a few attempts to collect and contacted a bill collection agency, so it probably won't appear on your credit report yet. If you report the fraud quickly then it never will.

Do NOT deal with Free Credit Report.com; it is a scam and they were sued for it and canceling with them is almost impossible; I had to do it 4 times before it finally took.

I had this happen to me one time and the power company wouldn’t help me. The billing company did though because they wanted to get paid. I only had to notify the billing company and they took care of the problem. It wasn’t as bad as your case, just a mistaken phone number.

If you already paid for the power then you will probably never get your money back; sorry.

The final step is to contact your bank and make sure that they don't make the payments from your account, they probably won't do it without your permission, but you want to be sure.

I keep getting phone calls from random #s on my cell phone...?

When these people call me i have either been in class and not able to answer my phone or just missed the call completely. when i call the number back they told me they got my number off of chat line?? i have never been on a chat line and when i tell them this they say well you left your number on my machine. this just started happening this past week and has happened 3X since thursday night. i tried to do a reverse lookup on the numbers and they come back cell phone numbers so i cant get a name w/o paying. this is really freaking me out that if they know my number, whos to say they dont know my address?!? what should i do about this???I keep getting phone calls from random #s on my cell phone...?
You can call your cell phone company and request the information or check your phone bill. You should let them know what you were told about the chat line and see if they have any suggestions what you should do to eliminate the problem.I keep getting phone calls from random #s on my cell phone...?
That is pretty weird... I'd say the best thing to do right now is block the numbers for the time being, at least until you can get more information or help... Good luck

Can anyone give me any advice on catching a crook?

I thought I was buying an iPod. I sent the guy 180.00 through iTunes giftcards in exchange for an iPod. He somehow cracked my account and took more money for a total of $500.00. I've cancelled the card and changed my iTunes password, but the money is still lost. I called paypal, but on the bill it says it's a payment to itunes which its, so I contacted iTunes and they said to call my credit card company, and their fraud department would contact iTunes directly. I took almost two hours on the line for them to say we had to fill out a form which we never got. I have the guys phone number, email address, and a name (but I'm not too sure, I got it from a reverse lookup. Someone please give me advice on how I can get my money back, (also he called us and said he was in nigeria, but his area code is from Denver, and when we called the number back, it was a completely diff. person, with no idea whats going on) i just want my money back, someone please help me!!Can anyone give me any advice on catching a crook?
I think you deserve the loss for making poor decisions.

    1. You sent a total stranger money - a gift card that anyone can cash.

2.. You had no clue after 1000's of TV, newspaper, magazine, and internet published reports about scams and fraud based out of Nigeria?

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en%26amp;q=nig鈥?/a>

    3. He somehow "cracked" or do you mean hacked your account? Either you had some simple password like "password" or you somehow gave him clues or the answer to access it. Guessing passwords is not easy.

    4. You will never find this person. All the info you got is most likely fraudulent.

    5. I don't know what kind of ipod you were hoping to get, but most don't cost 180.00

    http://www.google.com/search?hl=en%26amp;ei=oz鈥?/a>

If you think your were getting something that costs far far less than the average retail store, you deserve it for being greedy and reckless.

You can complain to your bank, credit card company, or pay pal (who will prob do nothing). Was the contra pay pal address a "confirmed" or "unconfirmed" address?

    6. Clue - NEVER send money to people you don't know.

    7. Where on earth did you find this person? I'll bet there is a whole other ridicules story that you are not sharing.

    8. I'm not an attorney, but If you made a legit payment directly to itunes you prob have no case. If you handed the guy (electronically) the pre-paid gift card, that is your fault - not pay pal's fault, not your credit card companies fault, not itunes fault. If you paid for something and gave it away, that it your problemo.

The crooks know that no one is going to aggressively pursue a Nigerian fraud case for $180.00.

I'm not trying to be mean, I'm being hard on you for a reason: To wake you up to the risks you had clearly ignored.
Sometimes I give easy happy answers. Sometimes I give hard lesson answers. Guess which one you got? The reason for this is not to be mean or make you feel bad, it is to hit the answer home to save you from ever making this error again. Now you have that knowledge and experience to help others too!

Sounds like you paid $500 for a lesson in caution with online transactions. Don't feel bad, my college tuition came out to about $100 per hour for classroom time for a valuable education. Your lesson was only slightly more expensive at $250 per hour.

I hope the guy was a good teacher. Can anyone give me any advice on catching a crook?
wow get a cop over there to itunes headquaters now and demand that 500 dolars AND DO NOT AKE NO FOR A ANWSER AND IF THEY SAY NO SUE HIM 1000 DOLARS FOR FRAUD,NOT CORAPERATING,AND LYING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just cancel your fraudulent credit card charge with your credit card company. Then the credit card company will deal with the crook.

That's why you should always use a credit card with paypal instead of dipping into my checking account or using a debit card; you aren't always sure you are dealing with a legitimate business.

Send her a letter, explain who you are and what you would like to have happen...ie: a visit, or communication by phone or over the internet.... As a reunited adoptee, I can tell you that reunion can be a difficult road to travel. For your own sake, dont walk into this with expectations, go into it with an open mind. The vast majority of first mums are overjoyed to make contact with their relinquished children, but of course there is a percentage who arent so happy, there is no way to tell what your mum's reaction will be. I suggest that you repost this question in the adoption section of YA, there are lots of us adult adoptees over there who will be happy to give you support and advice as well as lots of first mums who will be happy to do the same. Best of luck and if you need to talk feel free to email me.

ADDS: I will hope for you that she has kicked her habit and is ready to have a decent relationship with you, set boundaries of behaviour in your own mind and be prepared to break off contact if necessary if she wont stay within those boundaries. Remember that its always ok to set limits based on what you believe is fair, if necessary make it clear that you will not see her unless/until she is clean, but that it is her drug habit, not her, that you are rejecting.

    Tracking phone number in romania?

i've been receiving these calls from a person who dosent want to identify himself.. i want to find out who he is..

after a search on the internet i found 2 methods

1 reverse phone lookup which should give the name directly

2 mobile location tracking which gives me a position of that person

if i can track him home i can easily read his address or at least i can go check it personally

but the problem is that neither of the 2 methods work for free... i couldnt get mobile location to work in any way and i searched for free reversed lookup providers... all of them seem to charge you for it and here is this "no hit no charge policy" which in my opinion means that they really do something

    that works

dose anyone know a solution to my problem

Oh, it's easy enough to explain. You just don't understand How prayers are answered. What did you expect, an invitation to visit? Sadly, because of the mockery of your attitude, you are being told about your future. We are here to live by faith alone. Not only are you sorely lacking but you mock the very idea. Figure the rest out for yourself.
uh have u thought that maybe the person you were praying to didnt exist? lmao
Way to go Mojo! You are showing your previous atheist friends that unless they truly want to come to God in a meaningful manner and not in spite or to try and test him, He will not hear them. I am trying to locate the current home address of a person in Phoenix. I don't want to pay for the information. He owns a business. I have tried all the regular routes. I have tried the reverse lookup, the qwestdex.com thing, all of it. I even tried Classmates.com!

I need some reliable information on how I can do this.Finding someone in Phoenix, AZ?
Go to the state of Phx website and go to Property Lookup/Assessor. You can find where he lives if he is a home ownerFinding someone in Phoenix, AZ?

I live in Mesa (suburb of Phoenix) and am a registered Bounty Hunter and also have connections with other people in a wide variety of businesses. I also have been a skiptracer for 6 years. Go ahead abd if you want, email the info you have and I'll get some results for you. I just need to know why you are looking for this person.

I sold my car and left the plates on it. The 1 who bought it ran a redlight & they mailed me a ticket. HELP!!?

I filled out the affidavit of non-responsibility, but they just wrote me a letter stating that it was incomplete. They didn't say what information they lacked, but did say there will be a $25 late fee if I fail to provide this info by the due date. What can I do to avoid having to pay a traffic ticket when I never ran the red light? I gave the persons cell phone number, a print-off of the e-mail they sent me voicing that they wanted to buy my vehicle. I have 2 witnesses that saw him buy the car. Other than that, I'm pretty much out of info. I tried to do a reverse-lookup of his cell phone number to get his address, but could not. Please help, I've run out of options. Thanks for reading.I sold my car and left the plates on it. The 1 who bought it ran a redlight %26amp; they mailed me a ticket. HELP!!?
Take this as a lesson learned...NEVER make a sale to someone without having a receipt, their information, and without taking all your identity information out of the car!! If something was done right during your sale, the title of the car should be transferred to the new owners name, registered, something...but i guess not! Try to take this to court, and have the new driver of the car take responsibility! Do you know the Vin # of the car? This could help in tracking down the owner of the car at the present time, or try calling insurance company's with the cars information to find the new owner. Good Luck, you shouldn't have to pay for someone else's mistake, but it sorta is your fault for being careless and not taking off your license plate and handing them into the DMV.
It is probably his address they want. I can't imagine selling a car to someone without knowing their address.I sold my car and left the plates on it. The 1 who bought it ran a redlight %26amp; they mailed me a ticket. HELP!!?
Go to court, show the bill of sale and tell them to go after the real owner.I sold my car and left the plates on it. The 1 who bought it ran a redlight %26amp; they mailed me a ticket. HELP!!?
Exact same thing happened to me.

I called police station and faxed them a copy of the bill of sale that showed the date of sale was 2 weeks before the person ran a red-light. They then went after the new owner and all was okay.

If you don't have a dated bill of sale or some sale document with the date on it, then you may be liable for the ticket and that will be the cost you pay of a good life lesson.

    Good Luck.

    I think i have a stalker. i need help.?

A while back, i asked a question on here about someone repeatedly sending invites to add them to my yahoo chat/messenger thing. the address from the person was amr_roben24@yahoo.com.

well, i blocked them. and they stopped. but now, i keep getting messages from my yearbook.com with the same person trying to get me to add them on myyearbook. I dont even have one of those accounts. so, i did a reverse I.P. lookup, and the address was from sunnyvale california. Im in california as well, but here is the weird part. My husbands crazy ex-girlfriend lives in san jose. and that has the same area code as sunnyvale. and she has tried to add me to my yearbook and i never did. (im happy with my myspace) so what are the chances of it being her? or has anyone else gotten emails from the amr_roben24@yahoo.com before? please helpI think i have a stalker. i need help.?
Kind of odd that you would get tracked to a different site. I would typically assume it's just some random spammer, but I doubt a random spammer would track you like that. I googled that address and the first link goes to some Indian site.. Is your husbands ex Indian?

Why not accept the invite and talk to them? Best way to find out.I think i have a stalker. i need help.?
It's hard to say there are always crazies out there. Chances are good it is her if she is determined to cause someone trouble.

Where does domain hotcopot.info come from?

i received a strange email from an email address *******@hotcopot.info

    wondered who it was

can not get any info when doin email reverse lookupWhere does domain hotcopot.info come from?
This is a new website which is why you won't find anything on a google search yet. This site was created on Jan 16, 2009.

The Registrants name is Karl Heinz Bentrup.

    Address, Oerlinghausen Simonsplatz 8, Bielefeld,

    Postal Code 33813, Denmark

The registrant's listed email is, karlheinz_bentrup@yahoo.com

    http://who.godaddy.com/WhoIs.aspx?domain=hotcopot.info%26amp;prog_id=godaddy

Click the link to godaddy and see for yourself. Obviously it's spam. I recieved a letter asking when a certain person named Linda can see me again from. I most certainly do not know anyone named Linda who would be using a web based email program originating in Denmark, that has only been a website for three days at this writing.
I can't speak to the Denmark portion but I had an email from a linda23 as well. Obviously a social phishing scam of some kind. Delete this garbage if you don't know the person.Where does domain hotcopot.info come from?
I got an email by the same domain and I have no idea who it is either. Pretty weird....Where does domain hotcopot.info come from?

  • I've been getting emails in my inbox to: addresses I don't recognize.?

I found a couple emails in my inbox to different addresses which were not mine. I wonder if someone has an address in my name. Is there a site that will do a free reverse lookup? Why else would I get email with someone else's address? Two emails to different addresses which are not my own. Both are yahoo.I've been getting emails in my inbox to: addresses I don't recognize.?
i'm not sure how that works, but i had it happen before, i think its an email bot or something, but you can set your email options for it to catch unwanted junk mail,

first check your junk mail options and see how you have it set,

do you have it set to delete junk mail automatically, or for it to keep it a week or a month,,,,,,,

that and do you have the email set to seperate the junk mail, meaning do you have it turned on,

go to your email options and check your settings,

    ,,,,,,,,

kayI've been getting emails in my inbox to: addresses I don't recognize.?
Don't do anything with those emails except to delete them. They may look like they belong to someone else, but it is just a scammers trick. Scammers know that people are curious about other people's mail and will often open it. The simple act of open such an email could trigger an alert to the scammers that your email address is an active one. Then you'll receive way more spam mail than you can handle. The best policy to follow is to NEVER open emails from anyone you don't know and trust. Never!I've been getting emails in my inbox to: addresses I don't recognize.?
It's because the emails are being sent to a forwarding address, which then sends it to you and a ton of other people.
