so i was on my phone doing AIM and i was iming this guy like crazy cuz he's a really mean guy but on this different account.



but he's like this computer geek too so he was like:

"i know who are. amanda its you i have reverse lookup and it tells me the address of the person who's iming me...blah blah"



but i dont believ him cuz its obvi impossible...right? so



1) is there such thing as reverse look up?



ALSO....so as i continued iming him because he kept talking back and iming too and we were like fighting. but as i was beggining to win the battle he goes:



"ifny. ur messages are getting charged by me"



and then i think no its not because i have unlimited messaging and the AIM format uses my texing. but then again if he has this thing that finds where people are like some gps....then:



2)is it possible to be billed on AIM on ur phone even if u have unlimited text messaging?



i really don't wanna get billed because not only will it be insane and my parents are gonna kill me..but i dont want them to read my crazy im messages that are full of cusses and nasty stuff.

Well if he's got your phone number then yes there is such a thing as reverse look up. I don't know if it works with cell phones. But if your cell phone number is listed then I would guess he could have your address. If you have unlimited text then you are not going to be charged.HELP I DONT WANNA GET IN TROUBLE?
No he's trying to imitate you. It's true about a reverse IP address look-up but that only tells the general location of the address. The exact location is blocked by your ISP.

The rest is a bunch of garbage. You have unlimited texting so that's good. And no, he cannot use GPS to track your phone unless you have that feature enabled on your phone. If you did have that, an alert would tell you your phone is GPS active.

Actually, a webmaster can gain access to more information about an IP address from the ISP than others. I've seen it done. They can find out the billing name on file for the IP address. There's other info they can get but I don't remember all the details of what I saw when the guy (webmaster) showed me.
